CSS (Cascading Style Sheets)

CSS (or Cascading Style Sheets) is a language for styling elements defined via HTML, XHTML, or XML.

CSS therefore determines how individual elements (such as buttons) will look and how they will be positioned on the page. In practice, cascading styles are combined not only with HTML and other markup languages, but also with JavaScript or PHP to add more advanced functionality and necessary dynamics to pages.
